Kathodian Bronze Works “Gladiator” Bookends Model #524 Bronze Clad KBW

A pair of Bronze Clad Bookends of Gladiator and or also called Strong Men
Marked on the back side KBW and Art Bronze
KBW stands for Kathodian Bronze Works and these pieces were done circa 1916

The two pieces are not marked but most searches yield that these are model 524.
The company was not active very long, approx 3 years at the longest.

Size: 6 x 7 x 3 1/2 inches

Condition: size these pieces are clad, the process was not perfect and in the bends of the arms there is some minor chipping. One has chipped clad on the underside of the out stretched arm. The other figure has a crack in the clad on the arm resting on the rock.

NOTE: the bottom has a the felt replaced with a rubber type matting.
