A very nice oil on Canvas of an older women done in the Flemish Style of the 1600’s - 1700’s .
The women is in a heavy fur collared coat with a dark red velvet drapes in the background. One hand is leaning on the wall while the other holds an open book. The painting appears to have been painted in the 1800’s, the canvas shows significant age, but no tears or repairs.
Please note that the canvas does not fit the frame of this piece. It is as the estate had this piece.
The canvas is approx. 16” x 21” and the frame is 24 1/2” x 17 3/4”.
