Joichi Hoshi (Japanese 1913-1979) Pencil Signed woodblock with Metallic Gold of Autumn Tree. In the early 1970s the artist began to specialize in images of trees. This is what he is most famous for.
He is know as the “Father” of Japanese Tree Prints which became popular in the 1970’s.
