Circa 1900 Hand Painted French Shooting Gallery Game Bear & Hunter Carnival Game

“L’ours et la Sentinelle”
translate to The Bear and Sentinel

An amazing relic of a old French Carnival, this shooting gallery game was used to test your rifle skills, a man against beast.
Shooting the target, the little house would fall over the bear and trapping the bear.
Made of sheet metal and painted supported on a wood frame with wood mechanism.

Size: 8 1/2” deep x 17” wide x 16 1/2” tall
Condition: very fine, small bent corner on the top right. Appears to have been touched up paint on the piece, please see the images for details and up close images. The original string is intact but will need to be reconnected. Please see images
