Circa 1930’s Plaster Wall Plaque of Chinese Opium Drug Trade Throughout The World

Every know and then a piece comes in that is a baffle and wonder to me. When these pieces come in, I rely on the client to tell me about the piece, like when they got or who had it and what they have done in their life, to get a sense or to get any clues to what it might be.
This piece is one of those moments but sadly, the original owner, my client’s great uncle has passed and he is cleaning out is storage. I do know his Uncle was a wild man, his words and that he was in WWII, Pacific battle and also traveled a lot after the war.
This plaster wall piece came in with the Rock of Ages wall plaque so most likely around the same time period.
The imagery is amazing on this piece and my theory or thoughts is this, it is a circa 1930’s plaster drug inspired piece. China around the 1930’s was not a super power it is now but it was very involved in the drug trade, more precisely the Opium trade. The individual heads are figures representing the nations, Egypt at the bottom, Uncle Sam to the right, the Russian, Greek, Turkish nation, etc., with the Chinese man over top of them all with his arms out stretched showing how far and wide the drug trade has gone.
This is my theory and if you have one please let me know, I would be interested in hearing it.

Size: 15 inches tall x 20 inches wide

Condition: good and as you can see there is paint loss throughout the plaster. Please see the images for details and a visual description.
