Very Rare and scarce edition of one of the more popular occult religions. The three founders, William Robert Woodman, William Wynn Westcott, and Samuel Liddell Mathers, were Freemasons and also members of the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia. Westcott may have been the initial driving force behind the establishment of the Golden Dawn but it would be Aleister Crowley who people remember.

Isreal Regardie is one of the more readable authors of the Golden Dawn, but by no means elementary. In addition to preserving the knowledge, Regardie also preserved a valid branch of the initiatory lineage of the Golden Dawn in America"

Condition: The bindings shows signs of use and some wear. No loose or damaged pages but binding shows areas where read. Black cloth end boards with gilt spine. Light wear to the cloth covers. Dust Jackets are soiled and chipped and areas are torn and water marks to both DJs. The slipcase has tape and were and has been damaged. The slipcase is intact but shows damage and aging.
