Daguerreotype of Young Woman Holding a Bible or book of some sort, hand painted and tinted case image, Sixth Plate 

A portrait of a young woman, she is finely dressed with very nice hand tinting to her cloths, book and face. The mat is slightly better than you typically seen mats. Not marked but the camera's lens was very good, the image is very crips and clear. 

Size: 6th plate
Condition: the Daguerreotype is in very good condition, light tarnishing at the edges of image. The Image is crips and very clean, you can see the details in her face, clothes and her jewelry. In her hand she is holding what looks to be a book, decorated and hand tinted. The book is slightly blurred, the sitter must of moved before the exposure was complete. The case lid is missing and the seals are mostly gone. The Mat is in very good condition with light wear. Please see the images for more details.
