Sixth Plate Ambrotype Case Image of Old Couple Holding Hands

Sixth plate case image ambrotype of an older couple holding hands. It is nice to see couples in photos, you get a sense of their lives. This older couple posed holding hands, to me shows a couple together but at a limit. The reluctant man, allows his hands to be held by the woman, her slight smile and holding his posed hand. The image is kinda sad but still something slightly charming. It might the clarity of the woman's dress that elevates the images to something not so common. The photographer had a good lens, the detail in her dress is very crisp as is her face. The man slightly blurred from moving. 
The case image is missing the lid, the seals are not present.

Condition: good crips image, light spots the ambrotype, the back opaque has flaked off in small areas. Please see the images for details.
