Pair of Cast Iron Art Deco Industrial Era Swan Bookends Dark Green Paint by Littlestown Foundry
A pair of Swans with Outstretched Wings bookends attributed to Littlestown Foundry in Pennsylvania.
Littlestown Foundry in Pennsylvania
Started in 1939 and during WWI made machines and armaments for the war effort. The swans have a dark green paint, which is very close to the military issue color.
The Swans have out stretched wings and stretched neck. The bookends are heavy so no chance your books will move with these.
Size: 7" X 5 1/2" X 3 1/2”
Condition: the cast iron and the form are very fine with no breaks or damage, there is paint loss and chips in areas of each of the swans. Still the original paint is very good and is a dark green.
