Title: The Spirt of Baltimore, 1930
Year: the drawing and etching were both done in 1930, as stated by the drawing and the etching dedication.
Edition: Artist Proof and dedicated to Maurice Bendann, the second generation of the famous Baltimore Framer, Art Patrion and Art Dealer which started in 1859.
The numbered edition was an edition of 100, not know how many artist proofs were done, most likely less than 10.
The Drawing is signed lower right in pencil. The mat states “original Drawing for the etching”. The etching is signed in pencil and states “Artist Trial Proof with my compliments to Maurice Bendann 1930 and signed by artist”. The etching is signed lower right in pencil and not numbered. Note the series is an edition of 100. Both pieces are framed with period frame and un-altered with Bendann’s label attached to back.
Size: Coming Soon
Condition: Near fine with no visible damage, original frame and label on the back of the frame. The Mat is original and has not been altered since has writing of the artist.
