Antique Railroad Train Depot Station Platform Bench with Flip Back
These late 1800's early 1900's benches with Victorian style spindle back lats have the ingenuity being for a train coming and going.
The back is hinged on the arm posts and is easy to move the back from one position to another. The bench at one time had rubber bumpers on the top edge, please see images where they were.
The bench is made of a very nice hardwood and the base which appears to be not original is a pine.
My client got this from a local Baltimore shop that bought it local, so other provenance that on where and when the bench came from.

Size: Approx. 7.5 feet long.

Condition: fine, with appears to be original finish, this has not been restored or refinished, as found condition. Some of the seating has marks from age and use. The back has varnish build up on the spindles. Please see the images for a visual description.
