Circa 1900's Snapshot Mounted to Board Patriotic Banner July 4th

Mounted to Board Snap shot of a older couple with their patriot banner between. The image appears to be late 1800's to early 1900's but I tried to date based on the banner and style. The man has a pipe in mouth and is older, perhaps he was a young man in the Civil War? A wonderful snapshot!
