Early 1900s French Apothecary Jar Pom Camph Hand Painted
From the estate of Dr. Stephen Provenza, a well know Pharmacist who collected books, Show Globes and early apothecary items from 1600’s-early 20th Century in Baltimore Md.

A Hand Painted French Apothecary Jar, Pom: Camph (pamade; ointment of Camphor)
Camphor was used like a menthol and was also used as heartburn treatment.
The lettering is hand written and the cartouche design is hand painted as well.
No marker or country marks on the bottom.
Condition: very good, no crack chips or damage
Size: 10.5" tall
