Janette “J” Dale Cuff with Turquoise and Hand Stamped Design Native American Navajo marked Sterling and Artist Signed
Janette "J" Dale Native American Silver Smith Silver and Turquoise Cuff Bracelet with hand hammered design.
"Jeanette Dale was born in 1949 in Shiprock, New Mexico and is a member of the Red House Clan. She was taught silversmithing by her mother, Juanita Begay. She has been making jewelry since 1970."
The back is stamped signed JDALE Sterling. Her designs are traditional with a simplified flare. You can still see her mother's style but the the simplified setting of the turquoise brings the traditional into the modern. The hammered design is traditional with the symbolism you see on early cuff designs. The added button before and after the turquoise is the subtle part that brings this piece up for me.
Size: 2.5" x 1.75" x 1" wide. The Inside measurement is 2" wide.
Condition: the silver is in great condition with minimal signs of use or wear. The stone on the left appears to have a different matrix than the others. The right stone has separation to the vein. Please see the images provided for more details.
