John Black Expressionist Cityscape Circa 1970’s

John Black has been a name that comes up for sale once and awhile, his paintings, sometimes nautical towns and sometimes cities but always strong expressionist scapes with a color palette of intense lighting and lines. The cityscape with the hard lines and diffused lighting give his paintings a stronger feel, more so than other artist at this time. 

I am glad his pieces are starting to be recognized.

Condition: Very fine with only a few light spots on the canvas inner frame, please see the photos. The painting is fine and is still very clean, the painting comes from a smoke free house. No visible damage to the painting or frame.
