Wilse Christiania took this and other photos in the early 1900’s and many of his images are held in the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History. This early photograph taken in Norway at Birdrock shows thousands of birds flying. Capturing the birds flying in front of the steamer ship. Signed in the photo on the left, with date and Wilse Christiania with plate number 4201 and copyrighted. The Right is “Fuglebjerget Hjælmsöstauren” “Birdrock Vogelbegirge”.
Printed photograph on thin photostock, the image is crips and amazing detail.
Size: approx. 5 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches
Condition: Near fine with a light curl to the paper. Minor bumps to the edges but no tears or damage to the image. The Detailing and quality of the image is spectacular. Please see the images provided for more details.
