Rufino Tamayo Mexican Artist 1899-1991 Original Lithograph from Apocalypse de St. Jean 1959 edition of 87/255 BFK Rives Paper
The series Apocalypse de St Jean Published by Club International de Bibliophile Jaspard, Polus & Cie. (Monaco) in 1959. Printed on BFK Rives paper with Decle edged margins. The edition had 15 lithographs the calophne page being signed and numbered. This is not signed as issued but the BFK Rives water mark can be seen.
Tamayo was a Mexican painter of Zapotec heritage, born in Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico. Tamayo was active in the mid-20th century in Mexico and New York, painting figurative abstraction with surrealist influences.

Condition: hinged on the top with archival linen tape, there is pencil number on the back of the page and fade of damage to the paper or image. The Bottom right corner has small corner bend. Please see the images for more details.
