Government Issue Faith Capital Punishment Peer Pressure Artificial Peace Deadline  Scream and Saccharin Trust Friday Dec. 11th (1981)

A fantastic early DC flyer, with all these bands playing at a house show. The house was Scream's house.

The flyer has almost all newly started bands at the time, The Faith, Capital Punishment, Artificial Peace, Scream and Peer Pressure ( a short lived DC punk band with Tom Berard, I hope I have that right!). The two "veteran" bands were Government Issue and California's Saccharin Trust on tour. 

The flyer is fantastic, a the heart wrenching image called The Soiling of Old Glory by Stanley Forman, a "a white teenager, Joseph Rakes, assaulting a black man, lawyer and civil rights activist Ted Landsmark with a flagpole bearing the American flag"
"The image was taken for the Boston Herald American in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 5, 1976, during one in a series of protests against court-ordered desegregation busing.[1] It ran on the front page of the Herald American the next day, and also appeared in several newspapers across the country"
