New Music Monday November 7 (1960) at The Living Theatre (NY) printed handbill. Performances by Stephen Addis, Peter Hartman, Ezra Sims, William Sydeman and Charles Wuorinen. Note misspelled last name of Addiss.
Size: 8 1/2 x 14 inches.
Condition: Top left edge has very light toning issues and 3/16” chip on lower right corner. The overall condition is very good and the page is very clean.
Stephen Addiss, the miminlaist composer in the vain and sometimes performer of John Cage and his music. Also a teacher and student of Zen, Addis published a book on Zen Calligraphy in the 1980’s.
Peter Hartman, sometimes part of the Warhol performances and factory, Hartman performed spontaneous piano pieces along with poets and other musicians.
William Sydeman, born in New York (May 8, 1928 – May 27, 2021) was an American composer and in 1970 beginning a period of wandering during which he also studied Buddhism and Anthroposophy.
