A Early 1900s Painted Cheval Mirror Louis XIV Style Dressing Mirror
This piece and other that I will mark in the descriptions are all coming from a Magnificent estate near Havre de Grace. If you have any question or wish to see more from this large estate please contact me.
Here is a very nice late 1800's to early 1900's Painted Cheval Mirror in a Louis XIV Style. These dressing mirrors were a staple in the French 19th C. culture. This large mirror has applied carvings of Cherubs on the top and slight scroll work on the side of the mirror frame. I do not know what the wood is, the piece has been painted for many years and the estate did not remember what the original color was.
The mirror is very good condition, but the side screws have been replaced and will need attention, please see the photo details.
The mirror is approx. 75" tall and is approx. 31" wide at the widest point.
Due to the size and weight of this piece, it will need to be pick up or will need a freight service. Please contact me ahead of purchase to get a shipping quote.
