A Very Early 1900's Apothecary Hanging Show Globe From a Baltimore Estate
A very nice and in remarkable condition Apothecary Hanging Show Globe.
These hanging show globes have also been called Apothecary Globe chandeliers or simply Show Globes. Either way, they are an amazing piece of Apothecary history as well as amazing decorative pieces. Originally the globes would have been filled with colored liquid, mostly Red and Blue the colors that are associated with the Apothecary.
This piece is the older style, the more common are the Art Deco style hanging globes.
You can visit the Warehouse section to see one for sale.
The total length of this piece is approx. 35" long. The glass globe is in perfect condition, no cracks but at the mouth of the globe there are a few lip chips. The metal has been painted silver, but the metal is not rusted or damaged.

Please note I will have other hanging Globes coming in from a large Apothecary estate of Dr. Stephen Provenza, a prominent Apothecary collector and Pharmacist from Baltimore Md
