A Victorian Mother of Pearl Abalone Tea Caddy Circa 1860
From the same estate as the other Tea Caddy comes this wonderful Victorian Mother of Pearl, Abalone Tea Caddy.
The tea caddy is circa 1860 and is a sarcophagus shaped caddy inlaid with mother of pearl throughout the exterior and the interior is velvet lined with both mother of pearl lids.
As you can see by the photos, some of the scales have come off but are saved inside. I believe all the scales are there and the box can be restored back to its original and beautiful form.
The tea caddy is approx. 7.5 x 4 x 5 in size.
If you have any questions or need additional images, please feel free to email me.
Please note, due to the fragile condition, I can not guarantee more scales will not come loose in transport. I will wrap and protect the best I can when shipped.
