Antique Porcelain Apothecary Jar With Lid Strychnos Nux Vomica Poison Pharmacy Jar
A great porcelain apothecary jar, circa late 1800’s- early 1900’s for Nux Vomica, otherwise known as the "poison nut", a major source of the highly poisonous intensely bitter alkaloids strychnine and brucine.
The porcelain lidded jar is painted and decorated front with ornate botanical depiction of the plant. Lid has some wear to the gold paint.
Jar sits 8" tall including lid.
No Cracks chips or issues to note. In great condition selling as shown in photos.
