Circa 1920's Art Deco Celluloid Powder Case with Raised and Painted Fruit Faux Tortoise Shell
Circa 1920's Celluloid Powder case. This amazing painted celluloid powder case is rare style, rare because celluloid that is so thin and painted has last this long is remarkable.
The uniqueness of this powder case is that it is a very thin, a faux tortoise shell style and the fruit is raised. on the top. The powder puff is also included.
Maker: unknown but most of these pieces are French
The estate has kept them in a dry and smoke free house.
Size: 3" diam x 1 1/2" tall
Condition: No visible cracks or split on the celluloid, the paint has a slight paint chipping on the fruit in some areas, very minor. Please see the images provided for a visual description
