Daguerreotype Copy Cabinet Card by P. M. Hart Oregon City Oregon Circa 1900 Animal Fur Hat
Daguerreotype Copy of a man with an animal skin fur hat. The star in the center makes me lean towards a civil war or some type of service during and by the appearance of the coat, the original photo was taken very close if not during the Civil War. The Cabinet Card is a copy of a Daguerreotype, this was a somewhat common practice during the late 1800's especially when photography studios and the photographic process became easier. The Cabinet Card and CDV, were both an albumen process and both printed on thin paper and were both mounted to a stiff card.
The back is pencil noted Rob Maxmill and could very well be the person in the image.
