Daguerreotype Portrait Sixth Plate Hand Tinted Case Image 
A early daguerreotype, circa 1860's. An oval mat with a classic portrait bust photograph of a woman.  The image is very crisp and detailed, you can see the broach and lace on her collar. The face and clothes are hand tinted. The face is intense and the coloring makes the images stand out. An exquisite image. 

Size: Sixth plate 
Condition: veyr fine, a small blemish under the glass on the left eye, please see the image. Small tarnishing to the lower right. The seals are gone but the image is very clean. The lid to the case is missing.
