Adriaen Van Ostade Man and Woman Conversing c 1673 Etching
Ostade was a Dutch painter and printer (10 December 1610 – buried 2 May 1685) and mainly worked in genre style of everyday life and people. A Student of Frans Hal, Ostade would change his style circa 1638-1640 and was influenced by Rembrandt, suddenly changing his style.
This small etching, circa 1675 and according to the Catalogue Raisonné by Godfrey, this etching is attributed to third state (of 5)
