Size: Sixth Plate (2.75 x 3.25 inches)
Hand Tinted Circa 1850s of a young couple, his arms around your back. 
Not typically done, the horizontal image shows the young couple. The plain brass mat puts the date in the early part of the production of American Daguerreotypes. As time went on for case images, the brass mats became more decorative. 

Condition: the image has light spots from age. The back has of the image has shows it has the original seals. Light toning at the edges of the image. Light spots on the image. Please see the images for more details. The Case has wear and the hinge is weak, but it is still attached.
