Early Pawn Native American Coin Silver Brooch with Turquoise Signed BW Sand Casted Circa 1930s
Early Pawn Native American Coin Silver Brooch with Turquoise
A early pawn piece, sand casted with initials "BW". The sand casted pieces are early, especially with no markings of silver. Most early Native American were not marked with sterling silver marks, they are actually melted US coins, which were almost pure .999 silver.
The right side is initialed "BW", no records of who this artist is.
The turquoise is a very beautiful stone, a rough shape but with very nice veining. Please see the images with details of the turquoise.
The pin / brooch is in the style of the simple line, not the typical ornate stamped tourist pieces you see.
1.24 oz weight
Size: 1 1/4 high x 2 3/4 inches long
Condition: Very fine, no cracks to the stone and the silver has no visible breaks. Please see the images for more details.
