 Most book dealer have this book listed as published in 1807, but this stated edition is 1806 and is the full Biography of both the Male and Female.
First volume is 1806 and 2-4 are 1807
Each books is approx. 7" x 4 1/2" with original marble end boards with leather, gold lettering on spine. Each Vol. is profusely illustrated with steel line engravings of each person's biography.

Condition: All vol. have some age wear and some shelf wear but are still in remarkable condition for their age, some shelf wear, bumped corners and some foxing in each Vol. Some Vol. have more foxing than others, but due to the rarity of this complete 4 volume set. I have photographed each volume and please review the images for more details. The binding is still tight but does show some sings of use.
