Beresford Egan (1905–1984) was a satirical draughtsman, painter, novelist, actor, costume designer and playwright and did covers for Aleister Crowley and other occultist. His Art Deco style art lends it's self to the decadent and dark side of Baudelaire and his poems.."The poems deal with themes relating to decadence and eroticism, particularly focusing on suffering and its relationship to the original sin, disgust toward evil and oneself, obsession with death…"
Hardback book privately printed, due the "obscene and sexual charged" nature of the poems. Almost all the poems have a corresponding plate relating the poem.
