Francis Minturn Sedgwick 1904 - 1967 Pan Playing Flute 1960 Parcelgilt Bronze

13" High Parcelgilt bronze of Pan Playing Flute, also known as Dumbarton Oak's Pan, 1960 by Francis Sedgwick. signed and dated on back of figure.
Francis Sedgwick was a rancher and Sculpture and father of the infamous Andy Warhol superstar, Edie Sedgwick.
His sculptures range from figurative to allegorical subjects with this one being one of his better uplifting and free spirited pieces.
This piece is identical to one that is in Dumbarton Oaks Garden, located in Washington DC.
Unfortunately, one hoof is missing, otherwise this piece is fine condition.
