Franz von Bayros (1866- 1924, Vienna, Austria) was an Austrian commercial artist, illustrator, and painter and best known for his highly provocative and sexually charged drawings.
From Mappe, a portfolio of 50 original prints (héliogravure or cliché from watercolors, of which 14 are colored) made around 1921 by Choisy Le Conin pseudonym of Franz Von Bayros, with a preface of von Rudolph Hans Bartsch.
The Title of this one is Isolde and is the brownish tinted color Heliogravure and is mounted to the original cream colored board and glassine with printed text.
Edition: Published by Ed. Strache, Wien, Prag, Leipzig, this is the specimen n. 285 on a total circulation of 500 prints.
Size: H 12.6 in. x W 17.05 in.
