Janet Turner Signed and Dated Silkscreen First Ed. of 50 Titled Chickens
Janet Turner (1914-1988) first edition of 50 signed and dated silkscreen titled " Chickens".
The silkscreen is on a fiber paper and is approx 9" x 12 1/4" (image size).
Signed lower right "Janet Turner 48" and is stated edition of 50.
Dated two years before her major breakthrough at the 50 Years of American Art exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City in 1950. This is an early document to a beginning career in ornithological related art.
Turner, noted for her nature related art received countless awards and recognition in this field during and after her death.
