A large oversized book with very nice Tip In Art prints. An amazing overview of this Dada Artist.
One of the first comprehensive books about this Dada and beyond artist. The more you get into his art you see his life unfold with an urgency to transform the 20th century into something more than what it was. Having survived the WWI, he narrowly escaped from Nazi's in WWII later to be held in a work camp in Norway. In the early 1940's he was able to get to London, he would later move to the countryside and lived out his life in declining health but still continuing to create. Sadly his poor health took one of the most forward thinking artists of the 20th century away. In this book many of his famous pieces are captured in old photos and some recreations he did while he lived in exile from his homeland.
