Late 1800's Mappin & Co 121 New Street Birmingham Surgeon & Medicine Knives in Case
Mappin & Co, circa, 1870's surgeon's knives in wood case. Burl Walnut case with brass name plate on the front of the box. Inside, scissors, 5 knives with dark stained wood handled knives, one tweezers, marked with Mappin & Co. mark and one tweezer not marked and one small nickel plated probe.
The set is Marked:
"Mappin & Co. 121 New Street Birmingham"
This set is missing one knife.
Condition: used with wear to the all the instruments. Two knives have damaged blades, please see the photos for a visual description. The box is missing brass key plate on the front and the name plate is inscribed, with the name "Frank Atkins"
