Mahogany Regency English Tea Caddy Box Circa 1870s Sarcophagus Shape Chippendale Feet
I will have a collection of Tea Caddies from an estate. Please keep an eye out for future posts from this new estate.
A English Mahogany Regency Tea Caddy, circa 1870's with original inserts with sliding lids.
The mahogany is a rich burl with a French Polish finish.
The three boxes have sliding lids and the center box's lid and the inside lid of the tea caddy have a fine parquetry inlay.
The scale and proportion of the box is superb right down to the scroll Chippendale style feet.
Size: 10.5 x 6 x 6.25
Condition: Very good, the finish on the lid will need to be cleaned.
If you have any questions or need additional images, please feel free to contact me.
