Man Ray June 8 at Oscar's Eye in DC circa 1982 Record Release on Pig Machine Records
No too sure who this band was
The flyer is for their show at Oscar's Eye, above the Rogue in DC. I wrote about this club on another flyer, GI with Wurm Media and Baby Disease
"THE ROGUE: Legendary DC Club Space
At 9th and Pennsylvania NW, stood a multistory club, run by the Sigalis family from 1965 until construction of the FBI building on 9th Street forced a move to 476 K St. NW. Known as Louis or Louie's, it was a landmark on the 9th Street club scene. Each level was a different club. The building's main entrance was at 305 9th Street but there was another entrance on Pennsylvania Avenue.
The basement club, known as the Hideaway, a leather Levi club and was the meeting space for the Druids Motorcycle Club. The next level up was originally called The Barn and featured drag and country-western music. That was succeeded by a club known as the Rogue, a space which featured drag entertainers, many of them from the Academy Awards of Washington, a private drag organization. The Academy renamed the space Oscar's Eye."
This show doesn't have a date only a time, looks to be 82 or 83 at the latest and since the other flyer from my client is from 83, my guess is that.
Not sure if the band is from DC, but mentions their 7" ep on Pig Machine Records is out.
Most likely this was an early dark, goth type band.
