Michele de Grandville Marquetry Plaque Sorrento Italy, circa 1870's

Michele de Grandville was one of the top Marquetry Furniture and Decorative Arts Makers from Sorrento Italy in the 1800's. Know for fine furniture and top rate artistry in craftsmanship and detail, this piece is holds to this standard. The ultra fine marquetry and painted detail is exquisite.
This beautiful plaque is mounted in a gold frame with a red Velvet style mat.
The overall height is approx. 25" x 17" wide and the plaque is 8" wide x 16" tall.
