Oil on Board Attributed to Julien Dupre French Artist Hay Scene Circa 19th C.
PRICE JUST REDUCED
A wonderful collection of art has come into the store from a couple from Paris. They have collected art and note and merit for several years and they have given me the pleasure to help sell and manage some of their collection. This and other pieces from their collection will be noted in the description.
A small oil on board, not signed but in the style of Julien Dupre.
Julien Dupré (1851–1910) was a French painter and championed the life of the peasant and continued painting scenes in the areas of Normandy and Brittany until his death on April 16, 1910.
This wonderful small painted study has the look and subject of Dupre but no provenance was given with this piece when my clients bought the piece.
Frame Size: 12 x 8
Board Size: 4 3/4 x 5 1/2
Condition: Fine with minor soiling to varnish.
If you have any questions or need additional images, please feel free to contact me.
