Outsider Artist Paul The Baltimore Glassman Darmafall Bathing Beauty Fresh Air Cure
Paul "The Baltimore Glassman" Darmafall (1925–2003). Baltimore's amazing outsider artist with majoring holdings in prominent Folk Art Collection and museums, most notably Baltimore's Visionary Art Museum.
Paul's work started "in the mid 1970's, inspired at first by our Nation's Bicentennial, Darmafall began creating paintings using colored glass, house paint, glitter, glue, and found objects."
Some notable images are Abe Lincoln, George Washington, Mr Peanut (Paul changes the name to Mr Peanuts since there is more than one peanut) Liberty Bell and other notable songs and expressions.
This piece, outside of his normal images, shows a bathing beauty, probably an image he saw on a sign or magazine. This piece is also rarer due to the height, over 3 feet tall.
The bottom phrase, was a suggest and phrase he would do a lot on his early pieces. His statement of non electric, a basic right of humans to just be and to be free and also the Fresh Air Cure.
A rare piece for the Baltimore Glassman and a wonderful outsider art piece.
Size: over 3 feet tall
