Rare Pair of Jennings Brothers Nude Woman with Open Book Circa 1930
In the 1920s, Jennings Brothers added a line of high-quality bookends to their manufacturing operations and produced some of the most finely crafted art metal pieces throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Around WWII, the early 1940's, they switched their production over to the war effort.
Pair of Jennings Bros. Mfg. Co. bookends of a nude woman with an open book on her lap. This set is not widely seen, the most common ones are the animals and their Literary Style Line.
Size: 9" tall
Condition: One of the bookends has the original felt and sticker on the bottom, as you can see from the photos, the other bookend does not have the felt base or sticker. The gold finish is worn in some areas. No breaks or damage to the figure.
