Peter Grippe Signed and Dated Dry Point Etching 1957

Peter Grippe is a very well documented artist of the 20th century with pieces in such prestigious museums as the MoMa. This piece has a wonderful Picasso Guernica feel with the cubist Menator and Neo Classical motifs. This one is a signed and dated Peter Grippe dry point etching titled "The Sculptor". The etching is signed lower right, the title is lower left and the date is in the middle. The back has the original backing paper with the label from Peter Grippe and his wife Florence. The label reads " Holiday Greetings and Best Wishes to you for the New Year Florence and Peter". The matt size is 7" x 7 1/2" and the frame size is 10 1/2" x 11 1/2".
