Philippine Souvenir Kris Knife 1900 Engraved Handle and Sheath with Sun Insignia.
Sun with eight primary rays, to represent the original eight provinces that rebelled against the Spanish during the 1896 Philippine Revolution.
This souvenir knife and sheath is fully engraved and is anniversary of the independence of the Philippine Islands
"Philippine Islands March 1899- July 1900" and the other side of the handle has a gun and knife and a building but the interesting is the gold colored diamond plate with etched sun surrounded with two rubies and a diamond.

The sheath is engraved with a woman carrying a basket on her head with flora around her. The flip is decorated with flowers and fruits.
This amazing knife is a document of souvenir of February 4, 1899, the Battle of Manila.
Size: 8 1/2 inches long
Condition: fine, the knife is hand made so some defects are present but no damage or alterations to the knife since it was made. Please see the images for more details
