Husker Du blasen onto the Minneapolis, Minnesota punk scene in 1979. They shared the stage with The Replacements manytimes but what brought them into the spotlight was when they started touring with the SST bands like Black Flag and Minutemen, which later they would join the record label and release album after album of their blazing punk and pop hook layered songs. Their first release was on Reflex label which was started by the band and Terry Katzman.
The two songs Statues and Amusement was just a glimpse at what would be coming from the band.
