Circa early 1900 La Francaise Diamant Cycle Tin Lithograph Sign Double Sided
La Francaise was a bicycle and motorcycles, Mopeds and velocipedes. The company formed in 1890 by Victor Besse and Francois Tripier. The company sponsored its own professional cycling team, also called 'La Francaise'. Cyclists on the team would win in various Tour de France races over the years, until the team’s demise in 1955.
The sign is double sided with a relief of the star pattern in the middle. Lower right has “metalgraf Milano”, were the tin lithograph was made.
Double Sided, the sign would have hung in a shop or a retail store where the bike and or motorcycles parts and models were sold.
