This early piece, 1966 is a contraction under glass in a hand made chrome frame. The frame itself is a part of the art. A cut mat exposes colored and layered paper. A op piece with depth and layers.
Dated on the back 1966 with the initials of Robert Marks, "RFM66" below the exhibition label of California Institute of The Arts. Labeled as Annual Scholarship Competition.
Size: 8 1/4" x 10 1/4"
Condition: Very fine with possible light fade to the paper mat. Frame and glass are fine with some soling at the edges. I have not cleaned or altered this piece in any way. Please see the images for more details.
