A program for the 1981 Production of the Russian Constructivist Opera called Victory Over the Sun.

The Smithsonian put this production on and recreated the original stage set which was designed by Kazimir Malevich.
The program is a program of the performers but gives a great history and overview of the first Avant Garde opera.
Also included is the Russian Newspaper facsimile with a brief history of Russian Avant Garde for the exhibition, Avant Garde In Russia 1910-1930 New Perspectives.
Size: 8 1/2 x 11 program
8 x 16 reproduction of Russian Newspaper with the history of the Russian Avant Garde and Malevich.
Condition: minor edge curl to the program, slight soiling on the font and back. The Newspaper has a small edge tear in the middle with some curling to the edges. Please see photos for details.
