Printed Softcover with Japanese tied binding in a folding hard clamshell with loop rope over wood button. Includes the original cardboard shipping slipcase with original cardboard pad with cut out hole for bottom. Also is the reader card asking for any corrections of text. 
The reproductions are in black and white and some color, photographed and printed. The text is in English with multiple essays on Utamaro, the multiple schools associated with the artist and background.

Very stylish and very nice layout of this book in the style of Japanese books 

Condition: Very fine with the softcover book being almost perfect. A pencil name and number on the top right front. Please see the image. No marks or damage to the book. The folding clamshell has some light staining and aging to the left front side edge and light fading to the spine edge. The back has light stains on the right edge and light soiling on the back. The string is still tight and is fine. The shipping slipcase is very fine with light shelf wear. Please see the images provided for more details.
