William Blake Jerusalem The Emanation of the Giant Albion Hardback with Slipcase Published by The Folio Society 2007
William Blake's amazing book Jerusalem The Emanation of the Giant Albion is a poem, which was produced between 1804 and 1820, consists of 100 etched and illustrated plates. Jerusalem tells the story of the fall of Albion, Blake's embodiment of man, a criticism of Britain and or possibly the western world.
The Folio Society has taken great measures to recreate the colors and details in each of the pages. The back has the "translation" of the work and typed out. Also included are the original and modified versions of the frontispiece Blake intended.
The book, like others I have posted are Hardback with 1/4 leather with gilt lettering on the spine and blue moire silk. The top edges of the pages are painted edges. The slipcase has a tipped on cover.
